'm am a very active person i enjoying just moving around Idk what it is about me but I just enjoy life the way it is. I play different sports to get used to anything and everything i play basketball to gain cardio and baseball for accuracy  i neIver know when the time come is to put my experience to use. I love playing baseball because it helps me gain patients with life I'm a very impatient person I hate waiting for thing to come I usually just go after what I need even if i know it's going to be hard to get it. I play basketball to get aggressive and to release stress I figured why shout I get addicted to drugs when the best drug is exercising and drawing. Over the time I've been playing sports i also grew into a new phase an artistic phase. Because of my surrounding I have decided to help my community cover up all of the gang graffiti with art kids should grow up to like murals and stuff like that. Art drives my motivation to going to college because I want to be a graphic design artist. I want to sell logos to big name companies that would sponsor and represent me and my art.

I like this song by Nas because it tells me that I can be whatever I want as long as I work hard. It shows we how people who live in worst situations that me can be successful. When I see others becoming what they want to be, I know I just have to work harder to become what I want to be. I know I have to start handing in assignments on time and studying for test so I can graduate. Especially when I go to college were theirs no one reminding me when assignments are due and test to study for. I know college is going to be hard but I know I can graduate with the highest degree possible in my field of study.

I think nas wrote this song to inspire young brothers and sisters like me not to give up and feed into the negative things we see around us. He wrote this to show us the write path for success. I also think he wrote the song to show where he came from and what he had to go through to get where he is today. He shows how people around him were on drugs and acting older than they were. "little girls up in the club with fake ID's , be careful before you meet a man with HIV" This shows how he used his song to show girls acting older than they actually are.

My favorite line from the song is " If you can believe you can achieve then say it like this, I know I can" because this line inspired me to always think positive and positive things will happen. So far in my life I have been thinking positive and i'm almost done with high school and on my way to college.

Today in ms tomlins class I am learning about economics and how to create my own business. In class i'm creating my own cupcake business. I didnt know it requires a lot of math to run your own business. You have to calculate the amount you spend on ingredients, tables, and play your business will be. It was easy for me because I like math. The only hard part was figuring out how much to spend on the location of the business. I figured it out and created my business for cupcakes. I think i'm going to major in economics since I love the class so much. I can see myself owning a business and coming up with ways to make them grow. I'm always wearing a suit and tie anyway so the dress code wont bother me. I just have to stay focus on what I want to do. I think ms tomlin is making us take economics because we often spend money to freely without saving for more important things. I used to just spend money as soon as I get it , I couldn't even save a dollar Now when I get money I put half to the side and save it for emergencies or when my mother doesn't cook. Im glad to take this class because it gives me an opportunity to see what it takes to have a business and how to manage it. 

Passion statement

     I have a passion for playing sports, social media, and Video games. I like to play basketball with my bros outside. We go to riverbank and play people we think are competition or we just play each other. I like the competition in basketball because it helps me calm down enjoy my life. If im stressed I go play ball and clear my mind. I also play football in my neighborhood. On Sundays all my bros meet up and play football in our project field. Football helps me get out all my anger buy using it to take hits and tackle people. Without my sports I wouldn't go out side and be in shape.

   I have a passion for Facebook. I like that I get to talk to my family, friends, bros when ever I want. I like watching people write funny statuses and videos. I like instagram because I get to post pics that I like and I get to like pic that I see on my news feed. People post hilarious pics about stupid things. Social media helped me communicate better with people . I used to be very quiet with everyone and never speak. Now my communication is getting better and im speaking to people more.
 
   I love playing video games. I feel like every game I play helps me think outside the box. When I play video games im calm and relaxed. I get to play with my bros online and play with people I don't know. The basketall games help me come up with new moves when I play basketball in real life.

My name is ajontee. I am a young black male who lives in polo grounds projects. I love to play sports such as basketball, football and baseball. I am 17 and I like to purchase and wear nice clothes. I used to work at a restaurant down the street from the school called little bites. It recently clothes and i'm looking for work. I live with my two sisters , both parents, and my brother. Before I came to this school I wan in a little school called p.s 46. I used to sing in their chorus. I currently am in a choir in a church called Transfiguration choir on 28& Madison.    

Class related response

      In the technology article we learned how technology distracts and helps teenagers learn. We had Socratic seminars to get everyone's individual opinions on the subject. We talked and collected each others thoughts. The main question everyone was asking was would technology without books be better than technology with books.

      I think that technology with books would be a better learning environment because books give a source that you know in correct rather than technology were people post things that aren't always correct. Also what if the internet went down and no one had access to knowledge, then no one would learn until it gets fixed.

     Others argued that teen learning experience depends on their personality and the way they learn. I think that is also true because the way a person learns can determine whether technology would be better than a book. Maybe someone would learn faster on the internet due to the information coming to them without them having to search for it. Or maybe someone would learn better by reading a book and getting back up info to support their evidence.
